Marble Bar Chert slab, polished on one side.

Dimensions at widest points approximately 130 mm x 60 mm x 9.8 mm thick. 

Weighs 170 grams.

Marble Bar chert is a finely banded, iron-rich silica rock from the Marble Bar Chert Member (Warrawoona Group) of Western Australia. Formed in shallow Archean seas, it dates to the Paleoarchean (~3.46 billion years old), making it one of the Earth’s oldest well-preserved sedimentary rocks.
