Aragonite
Aragonite is a calcium carbonate mineral. These specimens come from a salt lake in the Murchison region of Western Australia not far from the town of Mount Magnet.
It is believed that calcium carbonate-rich water that has drained from surrounding hills into the highly saline water occurring in the lakes has formed the mineral.
