A matching pair of polished Pilbara Agate halves with natural rough backs. (A single agate cut in half).
Dimensions at widest points of each half approx. 70-75 mm x 45 mm x 30-35 mm thick.
Weight of both is 322 grams.
Studies have shown that these are probably the oldest agates in the world with an age in excess of 2 billion years. They occur in the Maddina Formation in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
