Desert Sunset rock block/standup, polished on one side.

A beautiful display piece with a cut base, natural rough back and a polished face.

Dimensions at widest points approximately 195 mm x 85 mm x 65 mm thick.

Weighs 1,486 grams.

Desert Sunset is a banded iron formation that is comprised of alternating layers of red and yellow jasper and chert with narrow bands of black hematite.

 It comes from near Fields Find, a small abandoned gold mining centre in the Midwest region of Western Australia.
