Polished Pilbara Agate PA288

PA288  Pilbara Agate , cut and polished on one side with a cut back and a cut base to stand as a display specimen !

Dimensions at widest points are approximately 235 mm x 130 mm x 45 mm. thick.

Weighs 3,082 grams.

Studies have shown that these are probably the oldest agates in the world with an age in excess of 2 billion years.   They occur in the Maddina Formation in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
