Wyloo Agate rough.

Also known as Ashburton Agate.

Occurs close to the Ashburton River on Wyloo Station which is about 160 km WNW of the iron ore mining town of Paraburdoo

The dolomite host rocks are about 2 billion years old however a major tectonic event about 900 million years ago most likely created the environment that produced this agate. Associated with this deposit are many cavities lined with clear quartz crystals.
